Economic Impact of St. George Ironman

While the economic impact of Ironman St. George declined this year as fewer athletes participated in the triathlon, local tourism experts said they are receiving overwhelmingly positive feedback from recent competitors. Ironman athletes and visitors spent an estimated $5 million to $6 million in Washington County during the week of the race earlier this month, representing a decrease from the $7 million to $8 million generated during the week of last year's inaugural Ironman race in St. George.
