St. George City officials project tax revenues will increase approximately 3.5 percent for the new fiscal year, bringing the city's general fund to just under $44 million. They included $3 million toward a match on improvements on Red Hills Parkway, $1 million in road widening for Dixie Drive and $2 million in Washington Fields drainage improvements. The Spectrum
According to the budget message given to Washington City Council members on Wednesday, the city had a 3.5 percent growth rate and collected 9 percent more in sales tax in 2011 than 2010. The total budget for 2012 has been set at $44,139,738. Carter said the total budget for 2010-11 was estimated at $39,501,427.
