Dixie State College unveils outdoor learning, fitness plans

Zions Bank representatives presented Dixie State President Stephen Nadauld a $35,000 check Tuesday as the small group looked out over a stretch of lawn east of the Eccles Fine Arts Center that will be transformed into a station on the D-Circuit Training fitness loop. The outdoor learning and fitness areas will include WiFi Internet access and electrical outlets and will be accessible to everyone in the community.

School spokesman Steve Johnson said the presentation kicks off the final push to raise approximately $6 million to $7 million by the end of the year that will help advance Dixie State toward university status and transform the campus into something worthy of a large, modern institution. The Spectrum
