Vet nursing home in Washington County looks for funds
After a long-fought battle to bring a nursing home for veterans to Washington County, local supporters are trying to make the home as nice as it can be for its decorated future inhabitants. Officials hope to break ground on the Ivins facility by the fall, but in the meantime members of the Veterans' Coalition of Southern Utah are trying to raise $432,000 to pay for upgrades to furnishings, to make sure veterans who stay in the home live well in their later years.
