New project could improve housing options for Washington County seniors

St. George senior citizens in need of affordable housing could get some good news after today's St. George City Council meeting. The council is set to decide if it will accept an affordable housing impact fee waiver for a 56-unit apartment complex for low-income seniors.

Set to be located on the corner of 900 South and 400 East, the $7 million, 54,000 square-foot complex will feature a stylish design and offer amenities like an exercise room, garden and common room. Developers are hoping to begin construction this summer and have the facility open in the spring of 2013. The Spectrum
