St. George housing options to broaden

Another affordable housing option could be available for residents with low incomes, after the St. George City Council agreed Thursday to defer impact fees for a proposed project. Proposed by the Utah Housing Corporation, the plan is to build five homes in St. George that are eligible for tax credits that would make a home worth nearly $200,000 affordable for someone making 60 percent of the area median income - typically about $35,000 per year for a household of four - after a 15-year rental period.
