Utah Shakespeare Festival exceeds ticket-sale projections
The Utah Shakespearean Festival exceeded projections of ticket sells for its summer season but must raise $1.5 million in the next three months to meet its $6.2 million budget. "It's the first time in three years that has happened for us, that ticket sales have exceeded projections, but it's not over until the end of the fiscal year and our fall season is down from projections, but we are gaining some ground from what we lost in the beginning of the fall season," said R. Scott Phillips, USF executive director.Phillips said the classic and contemporary plays produced in the repertory festival expected $3.7 million in ticket sales for its summer and fall season combined.
