Cedar City officials tour new aquatic center
By early 2011, Cedar City residents will be having all kinds of watery fun at a new, nearly finished aquatic center. On Monday, Mayor Joe Burgess and City Council members toured the 63,000-square-foot facility to observe its progress. Burgess said the city is scheduled to take possession of the pool complex on Dec. 15 and expects to open it by the first of the year. He said it will cost around $700,000 a year to operate.
