St. George airport construction nears completion

Construction of St. George's new airport is coming to an end. The $160 million replacement airport opening on January 13 will allow for the kind of expansion that limited its predecessor and will facilitate the use of jet-powered aircraft. SkyWest Airlines already announced this month the company would provide daily jet service to Salt Lake City, and city officials have said other airlines have shown interest in additional destinations.
