Washington County estimates flood repair damage needs

The U.S. Department of Agriculture's Natural Resource Conservation Service headquarters has granted $1 million to deal with immediate repairs and clean up due to recent flooding in Washington County. After evaluating the damage caused by the flood, the NRCS came up with a preliminary estimate of $20 million to repair the damage to their original work and implement new improvements to the flood channel that would make the county even more resistant to flood damage.
