Cedar City Council OKs infrastructure funds
The Cedar City Council unanimously approved three parameter resolutions Wednesday to proceed with infrastructure projects to include bonding and loans to finance upgrades to the water, sewer and storm drain systems. The City Council agreed to fund the infrastructure upgrades at its meeting Feb. 23 with $5 million to water lines, $1 million to the sewer treatment plant and $870,000 to the storm drains. At Wednesday's meeting, the resolutions authorized the issuance and sale of no more than $5 million in water revenue bonds, and an interfund loan from the capital improvement fund to the storm drain fund in the amount of $870,000, and an interfund loan from the sewer treatment plant fund to the sewer collection fund in the amount of $1 million.
