Dixie State College plans tuition hike

Dixie State College's Board of Trustees voted Monday to raise tuition and student fees for the 2012-13 academic year.According to the trustees' proposal, tuition would increase by 5.5 percent and student fees would increase by 3.3 percent. The additional revenue would help pay for the college's portion of a state-mandated 1 percent increase in DSC faculty salaries and accommodate further staff growth. The Spectrum
