Huntsman World Senior Games benefit Washington County businesses

By attracting an estimated 10,000 athletes to Washington County, the Huntsman World Senior Games packs a powerful economic punch. Add in friends and family, and there are about 15,000 visitors in town for the two-week event. That many visitors translates to about $13 million in economic impact, based on a formula area officials use that adds up money spent on hotels, food, transportation and other items to find an average of about $175 per person per day.
