Tax incentive terms approved for possible Iron County manufacturer

The Central Iron County Water Conservancy District board of directors Thursday night approved the terms of a tax incentive package for a manufacturer expressing a strong interest in locating some of its operations in Cedar City. GAF, which makes roofing materials, has been conducting a site search for a new manufacturing facility in the area of the West Coast. GAF has identified the building formerly occupied by Lozier, a 535,000-square foot facility, as its preferred site. The proposed capital expenditure on that building by GAF is approximately $50 million. GAF plans for the 50 initial new employees to be working on two production lines. The Spectrum
