State projects continued growth for Washington County

Washington County’s population is expected to continue to grow, although at a slower rate than during the boom years of previous decades, according to projections released this week by the Governor’s Office of Planning and Budget (GOPB). The new figures predict the county to grow to 196,762 people by 2020, and up to 581,731 by 2060. While significant, the numbers are still far below the projections made in the 2008 of 279,864 people by 2020 and 860,378 by 2060. Statewide, the projections are that Utah’s population will grow from about 2.8 million to nearly 6 million by 2060. The Spectrum
