'Iron Chef' winner opens St. George restaurant

He has prepared food at a Las Vegas casino, a retirement community in the Northwest and a Southern Utah ski resort. He beat celebrity chef Bobby Flay on Food Network’s “Iron Chef America.” Now chef Craig Haslebacher is coming out of retirement to bring a Pacific Rim flavor to the St. George culinary scene. On April 5, Haslebacher held the soft opening of his new Black Pearl restaurant in Phoenix Plaza, located on the corner of Sunset Boulevard and Valley View Drive in St. George.
