Financial outlook good for St. George City

Revenues continue to outpace expenditures at the City of St. George, with sales tax revenues up more than 10 percent in March when compared to the previous year, according to a monthly financial report shared with the city council.

The report, which details the past nine months, or three quarters of the city’s fiscal year, which runs through June, shows general fund revenues increasing 7.5 percent from last year, with building permits up 35 percent and a highway sales tax up 12.7 percent. The Spectrum
