St. George budget situation improves

The St. George City council is slated to get a first look at the 2013-2014 preliminary budget, and financial managers are predicting a mostly upward trend for both revenues and spending. The new budget year begins in July.

Sales tax revenues were up by double digits through the first few months of the year, with the latest financial report, which runs through March, indicating that general fund revenues were up 7.5 percent from the previous year.
