By December 2015, Iron County will have the largest solar project in Utah, taking 650 acres of land in Parowan to build it. The 100-megawatt single access tracking system being brought in by Scatec Solar will consist of 327,000 panels. Scatec representatives said the project will take a little more than a year to build with construction beginning in mid to late October.
The construction phase will employ approximately 120 to 200 workers for the next year with 80 percent of those coming from the local base. Once completed, the company will then hire on-site employees for the next 20 to 30 years. The Spectrum
