Pro Watercross event coming to Sand Hollow

The Pro Watercross Tour is set to make its first visit to the red rock scenery at Sand Hollow Reservoir. One of seven events scheduled for the pro series national tour, the June 27-28 competition will feature closed-course races and some of the world’s top watercraft athletes. Competitors race around buoys and other obstacles while in the water, reaching speeds in excess of 85 miles per hour. It comes as a welcome boost to a tourism season that can sometimes be slowed by the summer heat, local officials said. The Spectrum
