DSU enrollment flat

Dixie State University is experiencing a slight dip in enrollment numbers this year according to figures released by the Utah System of Higher Education. Dixie State’s own take on the report is that the overall decline of 67 students from last year’s 8,570 headcount indicates the school’s enrollment “has held steady from this time last year.”

According to a news release issued by the University, the slight difference in enrollment numbers between the two years can be attributed to a change in protocol Dixie State instituted. To help students get into the classes they need, DSU is now requiring students to pay tuition before classes begin whereas tuition previously wasn’t due until the third week of class. The Spectrum
