Posh downtown development proposed in St. George

A years-long effort to reinvigorate St. George’s downtown could be coming as early as this fall, with the city council deciding to move forward with plans for a $30 million development right at the heart of the city.

The SG Boulevard Land proposal involves a four-story boutique hotel and restaurant on the southwest corner of the intersection of Main Street and St. George Boulevard. Next door would be two separate buildings, each also four stories high, with retail shopping on the ground floor and three floors of apartments above. The three large buildings would connect via a publicly-owned pedestrian area to the nearby Greengate Village, which is in the process of being turned into a walkable retail space. The Spectrum
