DSU infrastructure seeing gradual changes

As the student population grows, so does the infrastructure at Dixie State University. With additions like the new Campus View Suites dorms, there are more student drivers and a greater need for more space when getting to and from class. Currently, the university has 3,197 parking spaces, including those for faculty, staff and visitors.

The most recent addition concerning drivers came in the form of a parking lot on 1000 East where 150 parking spots were added. The parking spaces, completed in June, sit along the same road as the new dorms, which will hold up to 350 students. This parking area was added by using part of the facilities management yard and consolidating some of the storage and equipment. The Spectrum
