Hotel building boom hits southwest Utah

More than 400 new hotel rooms have been built in southwestern Utah since January, and more than 450 more are expected to be finished by year’s end, according to a market report from real estate services group NAI Excel. There are three new hotels under construction in St. George, four in Springdale and one each in Cedar City, Hurricane and Virgin.
