Developers unveiled plans to build a massive master-planned community in southern St. George. At 3,350 acres, Desert Color would be among the largest master-planned developments ever built in Utah, with four main land-use districts that would including housing, shopping, schools, parks, artificial lakes and other amenities built up along St. George's southern border with Arizona, just east of Interstate 15.
The plans include the proposal for more than 200 acres of developed parks and trails, with trail systems tying into a nearby nature preserve and an existing city trail system. No dates are set on when construction would actually begin, although city and state officials have approved a series of land use plans for the area in recent months. The Spectrum
