Affordable Housing Project Coming to St. George

RiverWalk Village is a 55-unit affordable housing project slated to be ready for occupancy by mid-2020. The $11.8 million project is part of ongoing efforts by officials with the Switchpoint Community Resource Center to serve the homeless population of Washington County.

The project has been more than three years in the making. The St. George City Council gave initial approval for the development, located at 2450 East Dinosaur Crossing Drive, in August 2016.

Rents will be based on a sliding scale between 35 and 50 percent of the area median income. Each of the units will include in-unit laundry, covered parking and other standard amenities. Residents will share a playground, pet walking area and a community garden. The Spectrum
