Iron County Commission approves bond to fund new Shakespeare theater
The Iron County Board of Commissioners voted unanimously to approve the application to the Permanent Community Impact Fund Board for a bond of $2.5 million, which will go toward building the new Utah Shakespeare Festival Theater. The county will apply for the bond, which will be paid for using money from the transient room tax and tourism, recreation, culture and convention facilities tax, by June 1, with funds available as soon as October.
