St. George permitted 160 new buildings in June, a 10 percent increase compared to May, according to a new building report compiled by the city.
The first six months of 2013 have seen 751 permits total, with a total valuation of more than $90.4 million — a 45 percent jump compared to the first six months of 2012. Through the first six months of the year, there were 376 permits for single-family residential units, up dramatically from the rates seen during the recession.
