Tax incentive area set up to promote high-paying jobs in Washington County

In hopes of promoting similar company growth and spurring continued economic growth community-wide, last week local governments finalized the creation of a new Community Development Area in the Fort Pierce area where companies can earn post-performance tax incentives. It’s part of an ongoing effort to attract new companies and create higher-paying jobs. The Neighborhood Redevelopment Agency of the City of St. George voted Thursday to finalize the move, making a new CDA out of 56 acres in the southwest corner of the Fort Pierce Industrial Park.
