Ivins medical school to begin construction in March

Construction on the Rocky Vista University College of Osteopathic Medicine-Southern Utah is slated to begin the first week of March. The facility is planned to be completed within 14 months. The only other medical school within the state is the University of Utah, which has students practice allopathic medicine. Doctors of Osteopathic Medicine, which Rocky Vista specializes, receive training in the musculoskeletal system in addition to the traditional medical school curriculum.
