New North Elementary in Cedar City officially underway

Faculty and staff from the North Elementary, Iron County School District officials, and several members of city and state government took part in the official groundbreaking on the playground where the new building will sit on 200 North. Officials noted that the bond has already been issued and Hughes Construction is ready to start work. The bond was issued at a price of $14.9 million and officials intend to come in well below that budget. The new school is tentatively scheduled to open for students in August of 2017. The Spectrum
