Hildale approves project plan for flood improvements

Hildale’s City Council approved an engineering plan Friday to install a bridge for canyon traffic at the site where a September flash flood washed away two vehicles and killed three women as well as most of their children. The project will involve installing a pre-cast, reinforced concrete arch bridge on Canyon Street where Maxwell Wash flows out of the mountains separating Hildale from the Zion National Park corridor.
