Best Friends seeks zoning change for 39 new homes
Kane County’s largest employer, Best Friends Animal Society, has been challenged with hiring and retaining employees due to limited and often unaffordable housing. Their proposed project will consist of 39 two-bedroom homes and 6 three-bedroom homes and accommodate up to 84 Best Friends employees. The homes are not tiny homes, and all exceed the minimum size established in city ordinances for single family dwellings of 720 sf. The two bedroom and three-bedroom homes are 989 sf and 1,477 sf respectively. Southern Utah News
