For years a sign promising a Boulevard Home Furnishings location in Cedar City has stood in the lot at 990 S. Main St. On Wednesday, a groundbreaking took place with a promised opening of spring 2014. The short-term plan is to open a retail location. Like Boulevard’s locations in St. George, Hurricane and Mesquite, the Cedar City location will have thematic elements to tie it into the community.
The store will utilize a railroad theme and a Shakespearian Globe Theater theme to bring some Cedar City culture to the location. A new shopping center with multiple retail locations and a restaurant pad could follow in the coming years. The Spectrum
